Tell us about yourself? I’m a ‘people person’ and love meeting all sorts of couples (young and old) from many different cultures in my celebrant work. I’ve been a celebrant for a few years now and am a member of Celebrants Aotearoa. I thoroughly enjoyed attending the Celebrants Training College Ceremony Writing Course – what a fantastic weekend! I’m also a Commercial Property Manager which means no one day is the same, I have to be highly organised and react calmly and efficiently when dealing with everyone I come into contact with on any given day. I find this helps every ceremony run smoothly (although I’m always very excited).
Tell us about your style? I always include fun and laughter in my ceremonies as a wedding is truly a day to be celebrated and enjoyed by all. I’ll fit with any couple’s vibe and make a special effort to get to know them so that I can write their very special individual story.
Best part of any ceremony for you? All of it! I love the suspense while waiting for the bride. I love sharing my couples story with their family and friends. I love the emotional vows, the kiss and the pronouncement!
Favourite things? Spending time with my family and friends is always special. Travelling and seeing parts of the country we’ve never visited before is always exciting. I enjoy my garden and swimming is my go to exercise.
