Anna Flanagan is a Christchurch based celebrant who officiates weddings throughout Canterbury – south, mid, north and beyond! She’s happy to travel anywhere in Aotearoa for ceremonies!

Anna is flexible, fun, and easy-going and she would love to help you celebrate your special day, as your Celebrant.  Anna is all about bringing the joy and sharing your story, and she works closely with you to do so.   Anna is also a validated member of the Celebrants Association of New Zealand, VCANZ, which means she also officiates registry weddings.  Ultimately, her goal is to deliver a perfect wedding ceremony that is tailored to reflect you, creating unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.

Tell us about yourself? I’m a mum, a wife, a fur-mum and a celebrant! Being a Celebrant is an absolute joy to me, and I’m really passionate about it.

I joined the Celebrants Association right from the start because professionalism and ongoing training are very important to me. I’m now honoured to be a member the National Executive, so I support the strategic direction and advocate for other Celebrants too.

Tell us about your style? My style is all about making sure that you both feel comfy on your wedding day, and that I’ve got your back. In the lead up, I guide you through what’s required, find out what feels right for you and then create a ceremony that tells your story around all of that. My couples say that I’m bubbly, put them at ease, flexible and that I bring the vibe!

Best part of any ceremony for you? Hands down, my favourite part of a ceremony is when you see one another as you’re coming up the aisle! I truly love seeing the emotion you feel for one another – it is truly magic.

Favourite things? Dogs, travel and food!  We have two dogs, and we foster for the SPCA. I love experiencing other cultures and authentic travel experiences.  We’ve been to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Aussie and Samoa; next up is a Bali getaway.  I love a good roadie, with Hanmer Springs, Kaikoura and Dunedin featuring often. I’m also a massive foodie – particularly partial to dumplings, bun cha and pho!
