Tell us about yourself? I have been married for 40 years and truly believe in marriage. My journey as a celebrant started from my day job as an events manager. Seeing the need for more male celebrants (back then I think there were only three) and having a love of “ceremony” I took the plunge and was registered for the start of the wedding season in 2000. Since then I have been honored to have celebrated countless marriages, each one as unique and individual as the couple. In my spare time I am a volunteer for St John and have recently been presented with my 15 year service award. We have two adult sons, a large ginger cat and a staffy called Sarge who has the biggest heart, giving us so much love in return for board and lodgings.
Tell us about your style? With 20 years’ experience, my level of presentation is high. I offer a warm, relaxed delivery style and a clear, audible voice. My friendly, organised demeanor helps calm the inevitable nerves, allowing you to enjoy the moment.
Best part of any ceremony for you? For me the best part of any ceremony is meeting and getting to know each couple. My favourite “on the day” moment is when the one standing up front sees their partner walking towards them – it`s electric, emotional and exciting as they share the moment with their nearest and dearest.
Favourite things? I love my wife and family – I love our cat and dog – I love good food and wine – I love walking and skiing (both snow and water) – I love a good party – I love celebrating life and love!
