If you’re looking to have a small wedding at a gorgeous Banks Peninsula venue, with stunning views of the harbour, and bridal accommodation (with the option to add on accommodation for your guests), then our Mt Vernon Lodge package could be perfect for you for just $4999*.
Micro Weddings at Mt Vernon Lodge, also known as Boutique, Intimate or Pop-Up Weddings, cater for up to 30 people year-round, from Monday – Thursday (excluding public holidays) and can include everything a normal wedding does but within a two-hour time frame.
By booking our two-hour package, you receive the following:
VENUE: Mt Vernon Lodge, 33 Purple Peak Road, Akaroa
ON-SITE ACCOMMODATION: You can stay the night in Maison Cottage, which is included in the package price. Either to get ready prior to the wedding or for the couple on the wedding night.
PHOTOGRAPHER: Banks Peninsula locals – Robin + Andie!
CELEBRANT: Kineta Booker
CO-ORDINATOR: You will have a dedicated point-of-contact for your micro wedding – Kineta Booker
There are extras you can also add on:
CATERER: Catered Affair – pick up Kaiapoi (or Kineta can bring this for you!)
FLOWERS: Prime Petals. Tash has plenty of options – a small floral bouquet – $100 boutonnière – $20. Pick up in Christchurch.
ON-SITE ACCOMMODATION: If you’d like your guests to also stay – there is onsite accommodation you can add on.

VENUE: Mt Vernon Lodge
Mt Vernon Lodge is a private and tranquil location nestled away in beautiful Akaroa, with stunning views over the Akaroa Harbour. It is hosted by David & Amanda, who are experienced hosts who are always happy to help. There are many additional accommodation options (at additional cost) available for your guests, if you choose.
PHOTOGRAPHER: Robin + Andie
You have two options to choose from:
- 90 minutes (this comes with the package)
- Two hours of photos (choose this option for $250 more)
The time for each photography option starts at the beginning of the ceremony.
You will receive a gallery of images 40 business days after your wedding, with a ‘sneak peek’ of five images within two business days.
CELEBRANT: Kineta Booker
Kineta loves micro weddings! There’s something so special about inviting your closest friends and family to celebrate your love with you. We do the legal bit first, with a beautiful personalised ceremony, where you can share your own vows (which Kineta will help with) – then you can get into the celebration straight afterwards! The price of the celebrant doesn’t include your marriage licence fee of $150 or marriage certificate, $33.
